This tip explains how to get the Time Matters PDF feature working again. After upgrading to Windows 10, you may find that Time Matters can no longer create PDF versions of reports, documents and, if you use Billing Matters, invoices that can be reprinted or emailed.
The TM Save button in MS Word simplifies the process of saving Word documents into the Time Matters Document Management System. Find out how to add this button to MS Word, set the Word security settings, and add the TM Save button to the top toolbar (Quick Access bar) in MS Word 2010.
Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Reader DC do not work with Time Matters (at this writing), but you can still save PDF files to Time Matters. Another option is to uninstall the DC version and install an older version using one of the links listed here.
Time Matters 13 Third Party Software Requirements
While Time Matters still works on Windows XP computers, the Windows XP operating is far less secure than Windows 7 and Windows 8 now. As of April 8, 2014, Microsoft security updates for Windows XP will no longer be released.
If you are still using Windows XP, you cannot install Word 2013, Excel 2013 and other Office 2013 applications.
Word and Outlook 2003 are no longer supported for Time Matters version after 11.
Are you using MS Word 2003 or Outlook 2003 and the Time Matters links - TM Save, TM Connect, etc.? If so, you need to upgrade to a newer version (MS Office 2007 SP2, 2010 or 2013) before installing Time Matters 12 Service Pack 2.
Time Matters 12 SP2, due in July 2012, won't install if Word 2003 is on your computer. Plan to upgrade to Office 2010 or Office 2013 sometime after midyear. This post discusses some "gotcha's."
