Add an Events Tab to Matters

Adding an Events Tab to your Matter Forms lets you quickly see a chronological list of Calendar items linked to a Matter. Want to know the last time you had an appointment with a client? Go to their Matter and see with one click.

It takes several steps to add an Events Tab, or other Form Tab, to your Matter Forms. But none of the steps is difficult.

  1. From the Time Matters Main Menu, go to: File | Setup | Templates | Form Style.

  2. Select Matter from the drop-down (upper right).

  3. Select: Default Form Style if you want the Tab on all Matters or select a Form Style to limit it to one type of Matter.

  4. Click on the Change icon (blue triangle).

  5. Click on: Edit | Customize Tab.

  6. Check the box by Events (or other Form Tab you want to add).
    Note: This window controls which Form Tabs appear on the Matter record. You may uncheck Form Tabs that are not needed.

  7. Press OK | Save and Close | Close.

Now you can open any Matter and go directly to the Events Tab and see a list that can be sorted and filtered. To sort, press a column header. To filter, use the binoculars icon just above the list of Events.

Other Form Tabs may be added to Matters, such as ToDo’s or User-Defined Forms. Form Tabs may be added to Contacts by selecting them in step 2., above.
