Wells H. Anderson, J.D., is president of Active Practice in Edina, Minnesota. His firm offers project planning, customization, conversion, training and support to offices implementing LexisNexis Time Matters and Billing Matters. A pioneer in providing assistance and training via remote control and Web conferences, he works directly with attorneys and staff throughout the US and Canada.

As one of the top LexisNexis Certified Independent Consultants, Mr. Anderson won the TechnoLawyer Legal Technology Consultant of the Year award in 2000. He organized and led the panel presentation that was one of the most popular sessions at the 2006 LexisNexis Consultants Conference.

Emphasizing practical solutions for busy attorneys, Mr. Anderson focuses on improving profitability, satisfying clients, and managing information more effectively. He tailors his services to the specific needs of each lawyer and each firm.

An attorney admitted in state and federal court, Mr. Anderson began applying technology to the practice of law as in 1978. After designing legal software and leading technology projects in law offices, he started his legal technology consulting firm in 1996. Working primarily with the legal profession, Mr. Anderson understands the needs of attorneys who want technology to do more for them.
